Shadows of Brimstone: Hellbat

Just a short shot from my workbench: My first Hellbat from Shadows of Brimstone. I tried out a color scheme which I may use for my Legion of Everblight if they arrive finally. And I also tried out some wetblending (the tongue) just to get a feel for paint consistency and stuff. Must be improved but at least I did some painting again :)

More to the miniatures if I painted the complete batch of them.

So long,

  1. it's nice seeing painted examples of the hellbats. I need all inspiration I can get. They are not my favourites from the boxes.

    1. I liked them a bit more than the Tentacles, because I had less trouble getting them out of the sprue without breaking the miniature. Still the sprue design really isn't the best...

I have to test some other schemes on them (at least another one to differentiate between normal/brutal), but don't know yet which I want to choose. Maybe some green/purple?

    2. I will probably go for a green scheme as they come from in the Swamp of Death box, and green feels right for that. But I've got a few to paint, so I'll probably try a couple of different color schemes.
Purple is interesting and could look really great, I'll have to try that.

  2. Like the blue and purple scheme...I think I'm starting to have a purple addiction.
